Gujarati Kadhi is a Gujarati version of Kadhi, It is very popular Gujarati dish made from curd or butter milk and gram flour. Kadhi is an essential part of Gujarati cuisine. It is very delicious and easy to cook. Here is a quick recipe for this dish 🙂
INGREDIENTS:
- Yogurt
- Gram flour
- Curry LeavesÂ
- Ginger
- Green chili
- Dry red chili
- Chopped potato 1
- Chopped Raddish (Half)
- Black pepper (Optional)
- Sugar half tbsp
- Salt
- Cumin powder
- Cumin seeds
- Mustard  seeds
- Coconut Chutney (Optional)
- Asofoetida
PREPARATIONS:
Step 1:
Mix two tbsp gram flour and a bowl of Yogurt in a bowl.
Mix it properly, make sure there is no lump.
Step 2:
Grind green chili, ginger and black pepper and mix it to the bowl of yogurt.
Quantity of green chili should depend upon your taste.
Step 3:
Heat a pan add oil
Step 4:
Add pinch of cumin seeds, Curry leaves, black mustard seeds, asofoetida and dry red chili to the heated oil
Step 5:
When mustard seeds crackle, add pinch of cumin powder to it.
Step 6:
Add chopped Potatoes and Raddish to it.
When it is cooked little bit add water and cover the lid until potatoes becomes soft.
Step 7:
Add bowl of yogurt- Gram flour mix to the pan
Step 8:
Add salt, water and coconut chutney (Optional)
Quantity of water depends upon the desired consistency.
Step 9:
Add half tbsp sugar in it.
Boil the mixture for few minutes.
Kadhi is ready.
Serve hot with Steamed rice 🙂
