Creamy tomato soup is the stuff of childhood, and it’s easy to make yourself 🙂
. Two tomatoes
. Half chopped onion
. Ginger, garlic and Green chili paste
. Corn starch
. Oregano and basil
. Chopped Spring leaves (OPTIONAL)
. Fresh cream ( GARNISHING)
. Grated Cheese
. Fried bread pieces (For garnishing)
Boil tomatoes. Once they boil, Peel off their skin and keep it aside.
Heat butter in a pan, then tip in the onion and garlic. Ginger and green chili paste. Cook over a moderate heat until the onion has softened, about 5 mins.
Make tomato puree with the boiled tomatoes.
Add tomato puree to the pan and cook for about 4 minutes on a low flame.
Add Corn starch, chopped spring leaves(Optional), oregano and basil to the pan.
Add one cup water to it and boil on a high flame for two minutes.
If you like a smooth soup, whizz the mixture at this point to form a smooth sauce.
Garnish with Grated cheese and fresh cream .
Add fried pieces of bread to it and serve hot 🙂
Tomato soup is ready.
